Overview

Tikkurila Optiva Primer is a matt water-based, highly-absorbent, acrylic primer for use on new and previously painted interior walls and ceilings. High-quality formula, this deep matt base coat will unify the primed surface, delivering better adhesion of the top coat while reducing its absorption, meaning it helps reduce the quantity of top coat needed and makes application easier.

Tinted Colour Information

Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Tikkurila tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Note: Depending on the amount of colourant required to mix your chosen colour, there may be up to a 10% variant on the advertised paint volume.

Clean Up	Remove as much paint as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

• Remove loose, flaking paint or lacquer with a scraper and sand the whole surface.
• Repair any cracks or holes with appropriate filler.
• Remove sanding dust before starting painting.

Application

Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results

• Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed.
• Before application, thin if necessary, up to 5% with water.
• Apply 1 coat of Optiva Primer by brush, roller or sprayer.
• Top coat can be applied after 4 hours.

Aftercare & Storage

Store the paint in dry conditions and protect from extremes of temperature

After use firmly secure the lid.
